...When did the light come back on?

Oh, a couple days ago. Where have you been?

Date: 2009-10-03 04:45 am (UTC)
From: [identity profile] madsciencemaou.livejournal.com
I was busy! Getting rid of those Heartless gets boring after awhile.

Date: 2009-10-03 01:22 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] tenshinomakai.livejournal.com
Oh, tell me about it. I think everyone's tired of Heartless at this point.

Luckily, this anti-heartless magic zone at my party should keep them out. When you're as powerful as my sister and I, you can easily take notice of smaller things. You know, like the light coming on.

Anti-Heartless magic zone? Party?

Date: 2009-10-03 08:01 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] tenshinomakai.livejournal.com
Oh, yeah. I was going to enforce a strict no-magic code via power interrupters around the perimeter, nullifying any chance of battle between all of the city's higher powers other than myself, my sister and Genie, but I was convinced that such a measure would be a bit much.

Why, wanna come?

Date: 2009-10-03 08:13 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] madsciencemaou.livejournal.com
...What kind of magic is that? Sounds more like some kind of technology. Or "silence" Geo Panels...

I didn't say that! Why would I want to go to some stupid party anyway?

Date: 2009-10-03 08:20 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] tenshinomakai.livejournal.com
Powerful, divine magic, of course. It's probably too complex for you to understand.

Oh? Well, that's alright. It's a shame, though...I was hoping to ask your help regarding some of my alchemy. Since you're a genius scientist and all.

Date: 2009-10-03 08:55 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] madsciencemaou.livejournal.com
Too complex? Too complex?! No magic is too complex for me!

If it's so complex, why do you need my help? And what kind of alchemy needs to be done at a party, anyway? You're trying to trick me, aren't you? Capture me in some sort of trap?

Date: 2009-10-03 09:07 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] tenshinomakai.livejournal.com
No, no, no. Alchemy isn't magic. That's just science. I thought you were smarter than this?

Besides, if I wanted to trap you, I wouldn't need to trick you. I'd just grab you.

Date: 2009-10-05 06:15 am (UTC)
From: [identity profile] madsciencemaou.livejournal.com
What use do I have for alchemy when I can just beat some hapless monster up and take the money they drop? I have better things to study.

What makes you think you could? And just what do you want from me?

Date: 2009-10-05 02:03 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] tenshinomakai.livejournal.com
So let me get this straight. Rather than dabble with body altering and brain controlling medicines you'd rather just beat things up. You're some kind of scientist, kid.

And I don't want anything from you, really. Especially now that I know I was mistaken about you.

Date: 2009-10-06 02:00 am (UTC)
From: [identity profile] madsciencemaou.livejournal.com
D-dabble with...? How was I supposed to know that was involved?! I thought you meant turning lead into gold or some other useless crap like that! If that was what you were talking about, you should have said so in the first place!

Mistaken about what?! You're the one being cryptic!

Date: 2009-10-06 02:11 am (UTC)
From: [identity profile] tenshinomakai.livejournal.com
I'm not being cryptic, you're just not understanding. Everyone knows potions and poisons fall under the alchemical category. And I was simply mistaken about thinking you were a man of science, quick to follow scientific leads to their inevitable conclusion. I mean, all these high powered beings are going to be at my party and you don't even want to investigate them? Pity.

Date: 2009-10-06 03:22 am (UTC)
From: [identity profile] madsciencemaou.livejournal.com
Why you... Fine! I'll show you. I'll go to your stupid party! When and where is it?

!!!

Those creatures that came in! Were they the cause of this?!

Lumen... So that's what they're called. I may have missed the big one, but if the smaller ones are still wandering around... [muttermutter]

What are they? And who are you?

You're going to have to speak up, I can't hear I word you're muttering.

What are what, Lumens? I'm beginning to think they're all the animals that used to roam the city before they were all juiced up with that light stuff. They're what happens when a heart overflows with light.

As for myself, I need no introduction. Being the most popular guy in town and all. If you really insist though, I am The Great, Wise and All Powerful Timon.

So that kind of thing happens with light, too... What's with all these heart creatures anyway? Darkness and Heartless... Light and Lumens... Why can't they just pick something else and go with that?

...

...Never heard of you.

Beats me. I could go without it all myself, personally. It's really all just one big inconvenience. Now I'm just waiting for the next big 'fad'. Light, Darkness... Can't wait to see what they come out with next.

Due to a major lack of socialization with the outside world, I'm sure. Sun: you should get some, kid.

Hmph, they can come out with any variety they want just as long as I get to have the first look at them.

Why go outside when I have all that I need right here? It's not like there was anything important out there until those Lumens came along. There aren't even any comic book stores around here!

You're bound to run into one eventually. Though you shouldn't have any trouble finding them in the city right now, there's a lot of 'em just outside the gates.

You're diggin' yourself a deeper hole here, kid. What could be out there? Everything.

... Comic books? What good is a joke book gonna do you when you got no one to even talk to?

Just outside the gates... Convenient.

Ugh, what's with all these vague answers? Is that all you people know how to answer questions with?! "Everything" doesn't answer a damn thing!

What? No, not a joke book! A comic book! You know, the kind with heroes in it!

Yeah, if you can get past the gate guards. Otherwise, not so much.

It's something you have to discover and experience for yourself, hermit.

That doesn't sound like a comic book to me. What's a hero doing in a book, anyway?

Hahaha! Breaking and entering--or in this case, breaking and exiting--is a basic honor student skill. It'll be simple.

First that Tobias guy, now you... Tch.

Have you even seen a comic book before?

I'll take that as a no. What kind of a place do you come from to not have even heard of one? Don't tell me you haven't heard of video games, either.

Then again, there aren't even any TVs here, so I wouldn't be surprised.

Of course I am! This is a different branch of research... on heroes! In order to be able to take down my enemies, I must know how they work. What better way than to research every bit of hero-related material that I can? Comic books, video games, anime...! Every little bit I can get ahold of is a piece to the puzzle!
